Dr. Chung Thanh Minh

Dr. Chung Thanh Minh

Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ), Munich, Germany

Minh Chung is a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) in Munich, working at the intersection of High Performance Computing (HPC), quantum computing, and AI-driven system co-design. He earned his Ph.D. from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) in 2024, with a dissertation on proactive dynamic load rebalancing in distributed-memory systems. Before that, he completed master's and bachelor's degrees in computer science and engineering from HCMUT, VNU-HCM, Vietnam.

His current research focuses on HPC-quantum integration, including hybrid HPC-QC job scheduling, quantum circuit cutting and optimization, and reinforcement learning for compiler pass selection, as part of the Munich Quantum Software Stack (MQSS). One of his current collaborative projects, involving LRZ and partners including UCL, NVIDIA, IQM, and QMatter, is regarded as one of the first contributions to showcase a hybrid, large-scale HPC-quantum workflow for biomolecular simulation.

He is also active in the research community as a technical program committee member for conferences including Supercomputing (SC25/SC26), Computing Frontiers (CF25/CF26), and IEEE Quantum Education - QSEEC as part of IEEE Quantum Week. He also reviews for specialized conferences and journals including IEEE ICCD, IEEE Cluster, ACM Transactions on Parallel Computing, Journal of Systems Architecture, and Quantum Information Processing.

George V. Neville-Neil

George V. Neville-Neil

George V. Neville-Neil works on networking and operating system code for fun and profit. His areas of interest include computer security, operating systems, networking, time protocols, and the care and feeding of large code bases. He is the author of The Kollected Kode Vicious and co-author, with Marshall Kirk McKusick and Robert N. M. Watson, of The Design and Implementation of the FreeBSD Operating System. For nearly twenty years, he has been the columnist better known as Kode Vicious.

Since 2014, he has been an Industrial Visitor at the University of Cambridge, where he is involved in several projects relating to computer security. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a member of ACM, the Usenix Association, and IEEE. At ACM, he is co-chair of the Global Engagement Board and a member of the Queue Editorial Board.

His software not only runs on Earth but has also been deployed as part of VxWorks in NASA's missions to Mars. He is an avid bicyclist and traveler who currently lives in New York City. He is currently a Ph.D. student at Yale University working with Robert Soulé, Avi Silberschatz, and Peter Alvaro.

Nam Thoai is Associate Professor with HCMUT. He received his Ph.D. from Johannes Kepler University of Linz, Austria. He is the founder and director of the High Performance Computing Lab and the Advanced Institute of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering at HCMUT. His research includes High Performance Computing, high performance data analytics & AI, and quantum machine learning.

Currently, his projects are studying and developing solutions to enhance the performance and capacity of HPC systems for AI applications, HPQC&AI infrastructure, Big data streaming & analytics platform, and Smart Village. He has been the Dean of Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from 2007 to 2018. The CSE Faculty has two programs, Computer Science and Computer Engineering, following ABET accreditation. He is currently the Director of the Center of Computer Engineering. In addition, he serves in the Ho Chi Minh City Science Council and is a member of the advisory board for the program "Research and development of artificial intelligence applications in Ho Chi Minh City, 2020-2030".

Dr. Diep Thanh Dang

Dr. Diep Thanh Dang is a lecturer and computer scientist at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM). He obtained his doctorate in Informatics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat (LMU) Munchen in 2025. His research interests include High Performance Computing, parallel and distributed computing, data streaming analytics, and quantum computing. He has contributed publications to international conferences and journals including JPDC, Parallel Computing, EuroMPI, HPCC, and WACV, and serves as a reviewer for international academic venues including the Journal of Supercomputing, JSA, and ECMLPKDD. He is a former German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) fellow.

MEng. Hoang Le Hai Thanh

MEng. Hoang Le Hai Thanh is a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, HCMUT, VNU-HCM. His research focuses on agent-native cognitive AI systems for real-world domains, where LLMs and autonomous agents are embedded into systems that can perceive, reason, use tools, maintain memory, coordinate actions, and learn from feedback.

He works at the intersection of High Performance Computing optimization, job runtime prediction, digital twins, and AI-assisted analytics. He is the founder of Agentivium AI, a research initiative on agent-native AI systems, cognitive infrastructure, and deployable AI architectures. His current application testbeds include computing infrastructure and Xanh Market / Xanh Story for smart agriculture, IoT telemetry, traceability, farming diaries, and AI narrative engines.

MSc. Bui Xuan Giang is a lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering and a researcher at the High Performance Computing Lab (HPC Lab), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), where he also received his Master's degree.

His research focuses on infrastructure and systems, encompassing distributed file systems, virtualization, and network infrastructure, as well as big data technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT).

MSc. Nguyen Manh Thin is a system administrator and researcher at the High Performance Computing Lab, HCMUT, where he serves as the system administrator of the SuperNode-XP HPC system. He is also a researcher at the Advanced Institute of Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (iST). He received his master's degree in Aerospace Information Technology from Konkuk University.

His work supports High Performance Computing infrastructure, research computing environments, and interdisciplinary technology projects at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM).

Le Bao Khanh is an AI Engineer, master's student in Computer Science at HCMUT, and researcher at HPC Lab. His work focuses on AI systems, Big Data, and LLM applications. He has contributed to funded research projects on HPC monitoring for AI workloads, smart city IoT systems, streaming data platforms, and medical AI.

As the Leader of MediFind, an award-winning AI startup for Vietnamese prescription analysis, Khanh is passionate about turning research ideas into practical systems that can scale from local prototypes to real-world deployment.

Nguyen Tuan Huy

Nguyen Tuan Huy focuses on multi-agent orchestration, agentic memory architectures, adaptive scheduling, and procedural control systems. His work explores local control memory architectures for orchestrator agents, treating memory as a dynamic control substrate for scheduling decisions, context selection, access control, and adaptation across task episodes.

Nguyen Phuc Nhan

Nguyen Phuc Nhan focuses on distributed agent runtimes, scalable multi-agent execution, cluster resource optimization, and workflow scheduling. His work studies runtime optimization for multi-agent execution across distributed clusters, including how systems spawn, place, scale, or cancel sub-agents while balancing quality, latency, cost, and shared-context constraints.
