Who should apply

Eligibility

The school welcomes undergraduate students who want to explore High Performance Computing for AI systems, Big Data, distributed systems, scientific computing, and performance-critical applications. Applications close at 23:59, June 10, 2026.

HCMUT students and non-HCMUT students may apply.

No prior HPC experience is required.

Basic programming experience is recommended.

Familiarity with Linux or command-line tools is helpful but not mandatory.

Expected Background

Applicants are expected to have basic programming experience and a willingness to work with technical environments such as command-line tools, remote systems, and hands-on computing exercises.

  • Basic programming in Python, C/C++, Java, or similar languages.
  • Interest in AI, data, systems, infrastructure, or research-oriented computing.
  • Willingness to participate in full-day learning activities.

Selection Criteria

Participants will be selected based on motivation, technical readiness, relevance of interest, and commitment to participate in the full program.

The school is primarily designed as an on-site program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - VNU-HCM, Campus 1. Online participation options, if available, will be announced through official channels.

Participation Fee

There is no participation fee. HCMUT HPC Summer School 2026 is free for selected participants.
